la dolce vita

wow.. after 10 years ;p

just going to share some funny stuff i've picked up from ACMGers (eto napapala kapag parati tumatambay sa room..)

jem: niko, ano height mo?
niko: 5'7
jem: eh pano ka nagkasya sa puso ko?
*laughter*

jem: kumain ka ba ng lusis? (tama ba spelling?! haha)
niko: hindi..
jem: eh bakit may spark yung smile mo?
*laughter*

jem: nino asan ka kagabi?
nino: nasa bahay..
jem: kaya pala wala ka sa panaginip ko..
*laughlaughlaugh*

madami pa yun eh pero.. that's all i remember. hahaha. i swear kakabagin ka parati pag nasa room. anyhow... ;p

----------------------------------------------

recently saw this book in my uncle's library "All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten".. very familiar that's why i decided to browse through it although i should have been studying polsci since i had mid-terms (just finished kanina.. woohoo! yey me ;p). just wanted to share the first part of the book. great author.. i laughed to myself while reading the first few pages pa lang.. (yech.. conyo effects ;p)

Share everything.
Play fair.
Don't hit people.
Put things back where you found them.
Clean up your own mess.
Don't take things that aren't yours.
Say you're sorry when you hurt somebody.
Wash your hands before you eat.
Flush.
Warm cookies and cold milk are good for you.
Live a balanced life -- learn some and think some and draw and paint
and sing and dance and play and work every day some more.
Take a nap every afternoon.
When you go out into the world, watch out for traffic, hold hands and
stick together.
Be aware of wonder. Remember the little seed in the Styrofoam cup: The
roots go down and the plant goes up and nobody really knows how or
why, but we are all like that.
Goldfish and hamsters and white mice and even the little seed in the
Styrofoam cup -- they all die. So do we.
And then remember the Dick-and-Jane books and the first word you
learned -- the biggest word of all -- LOOK.

Everything you need to know is in there somewhere. The Golden Rule and love
and
basic sanitation. Ecology and politics and equality and sane living.

Take any one of those items and extrapolate it into sophisticated adult terms and
apply
it into life or your work or your government or your world and it holds true and
clear and
firm. Think what a better world it would be if we all -- the whole world -- had
cookies and
milk about three o'clock every afternoon and then lay down with our
blankies for a nap. Or
if all governments had as a basic policy to always put things
back where they found them
and to clean up their own mess.

And it is still true, no matter how old you are -- when you go out into the world, it is
best to hold hands and stick together.

galing ano? parang DS major gumawa. hahaha ;p although milk and cookies can't really be classified as a basic need...hahaha.

......hrm.... bakit parang dumami.... uh oh..

have to think about where i'm going to take my practicum.. Children's Hour? Office of Sen. Pangilinan?.. o yung Foreign Service thingy..? ... hrmm..... hafta talk to sir ulet.

sometimes, i guess, what's makes it hard for a person to live in the present is due to his/her worries/anxieties regarding the future... if the steps that he/she is taking are in line with the dreams and ambitions he/she has been weaving in his/her head... doubt can never be out of the picture. .

my high school friend asked me once "what if you failed even if you worked your ass off and you had all the good intentions? does that mean it wasn't really for you? do you give up the dream?"... surprisingly i at first didn't know how to respond.. then a thought came to my head "maybe you didn't pray about it. . was it YOUR dream only? did you ask Him about it? maybe He has a different path for you."

as with all good things in this life, one can only do so much to make sure that the tapestry of goals, wishes and ambitions become a reality. we may sometimes forget our humanity and how, in truth, we are never REALLY in control of the situation, of the problem at hand, of the love we feel. we are mere workers in the field, limited and weak, with the great Master carefully watching and assiting in our daily trivialities and triumphs in this wonderful and masterfully planned web of life.

woohoo. ;p

ang tanda ko na nga.. hihi.

"Sometimes it’s easy to feel you’re the only one in the world who’s struggling, who’s frustrated or unsatisfied or barely getting by. But that feelings a lie and if you just hold on, just find the courage to face it all for another day, someone or something will find you and make it all okay. Because we all need a little help sometimes, someone to help us hear the music in the world, to remind us that it wont always be this way, that someone is out there. And that someone will find you."

hmm...iono about this. for me, it doesn't matter if everything i did would fail or succeed. in the end, what matters is i did something, and hopefully learned something along the way. at any rate, it's better to have done it than doing nothing at all.

i should know, dahil natuto na ako....
